My name is Michele Franceschini, I
was born in Milan in March 15, 1977. I lived in
Cavriago (Reggio Emilia) until June 8, 2003 when I married Federica. By
that time I live in Reggio Emilia. I studied Electronic Engeneering at
the University of Parma where, in 2002 I received the "Laurea" summa cum laude.
In 2003 I became a Ph.D. student at the University of Parma.
September 13, 2005 little Lucia came to
make my and Federica's life bright. In March 2006, I received the Ph.D.
from the university of Parma with a thesis "On LDPC Coded Modulations".
I currently hold a research associate position at the department of
information engineering at the University of Parma.
Research Interests
My research interests are in the Information
Theory, in the Channel
Coding Theory and Detection
areas. In particular, my research topics cover
iterative
detection/decoding of turbo
like codes and, expecially, LDPC
codes
