My name is Simone Cirani. I was born in Asola (MN) on October 25th, 1982. I received my Dr. Ing. (Laurea) degree in Information Engineering "cum laude"
from the University of Parma, Italy, in 2007 with a thesis entitled "Development of a DHT-based peer-to-peer architecture for the implementation of a distributed SIP Location Service".
I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Information Engineering of the same university since January 2008.
My research interests include peer-to-peer systems issues such as P2P architectures, Distributed Hash Tables, bootstrapping, protocols for peer-to-peer system management,
and studies on applying P2P approches to multimedia systems and centralized architectures.
